These terms of use apply to the bouwerk.be website and all of its parts. Please read them before using the site. By visiting or using the site, you accept these terms.
1. Who we are

2. What these terms cover
These terms govern your use of the website. They are not a contract for building works.
When you engage us for renovation work, separate general contracting terms apply. You receive those together with the quotation, and they only take effect once you have expressly accepted them. If the two documents conflict, the contracting terms prevail for everything concerning the execution of the works.
3. Use of the website
You may use the website to consult information, contact us, and request a quotation.
You may not use the website to:
- disrupt, overload, or circumvent its operation;
- collect data by automated means (scraping or crawling beyond normal search engine indexing);
- access parts of the website or underlying systems you are not authorised to access;
- submit inaccurate information through forms, or use forms for spam or unsolicited commercial messages;
- infringe our rights or those of third parties.
We may restrict or block access to the website if you breach these rules.
4. Intellectual property
All content on this website — text, photographs, project images, blog articles, design, logos, and the Bouwerk name — is protected by intellectual property rights and belongs to Aldaco BV or to third parties who have granted us permission.
You may consult the content and print or save it for your own, non-commercial use.
You may not copy, publish, distribute, modify, or commercially exploit the content without our prior written permission. This applies in particular to our project photographs: they show the work of our clients and our team and may not be reused.
Want to reproduce something? Ask us at info@bouwerk.be. In practice we usually say yes, provided the source is properly credited.
5. Information on the website is not an offer
We do our best to keep the website accurate and up to date. Even so:
- descriptions of services, materials, timelines, and working methods are indicative;
- nothing stated on this website constitutes a binding offer or a quotation;
- a contract only arises after a written quotation from us that you expressly accept.
Every project is different. Price and scheduling depend on a site visit and on the actual condition of your property.
6. Blog articles and renovation advice
Our blog articles and informational pages are general background information. They are not professional, technical, structural, tax, or legal advice for your specific situation.
Information about grants, subsidies, VAT rates, and regulations can become outdated or may depend on your personal circumstances. Always verify it with the competent authority or with your accountant before basing any decision on it.
Do not make decisions about your property solely on the basis of what you read here. Ask us — or another qualified professional — for an on-site assessment.
7. AI chat assistant
This website features a chat assistant that uses artificial intelligence.
What you need to know:
- You are not speaking to a member of staff. The assistant is automated. Nobody is monitoring the conversation live.
- Answers are indicative and may be wrong. AI systems can produce inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated information, even when it sounds confident.
- The assistant's answers do not bind us. Statements about prices, timelines, feasibility, materials, grants, or guarantees are not a quotation, not a commitment, and not a confirmation on behalf of Aldaco BV. Only a written quotation signed by us is binding.
- No contract is concluded through the chat.
- Do not share sensitive information through the chat: no national register number, no bank details, no medical or other sensitive data.
Your messages are processed by an external AI service provider in order to generate a response. How this works is set out in our Privacy Policy.

8. Contact form and quotation requests
When you complete the contact form:
- you provide accurate and complete information;
- you use the form only for your own enquiry;
- you do not submit someone else's details without their knowledge.
An enquiry submitted through the form does not oblige us to anything. We decide ourselves whether to take on a project, based among other things on scheduling, location, and the nature of the works.

9. Links to other websites
Our website may contain links to third-party websites, as well as a WhatsApp button.
We have no control over those websites and are not responsible for their content, their operation, or how they handle your data. Their own terms and privacy statements apply there.
10. Website availability
We aim for a well-functioning website but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability.
The website may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, technical faults, or causes beyond our control. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the website or parts of it at any time.
11. Liability
We are not liable for damage arising from:
- the use of, or inability to use, the website;
- inaccuracies or omissions in the website's content or in the AI chat assistant's answers;
- decisions you take on the basis of information on this website without prior professional advice;
- faults, viruses, or security issues arising via the website or via third-party websites.
This does not limit our liability for fraud, intentional fault, gross negligence, or for damage resulting from death or personal injury. Nor does it limit any rights you have as a consumer under mandatory law.
This clause applies to the website only. Our liability for renovation work carried out — including ten-year (decennial) liability — is governed by the contract for works and by law, and is in no way limited by these terms.

13. Complaints
Do you have a complaint about our website or our services? Contact us first at info@bouwerk.be. We review every complaint and respond within a reasonable time.

14. Changes to these terms
We may amend these terms of use, for example following changes to the website or to applicable regulations. The current version is always available on this page, with the date of last amendment at the top. The version online at the time of your use of the website is the one that applies.
15. Governing law and competent court
These terms of use are governed by Belgian law.
Disputes will be brought before the competent courts of the judicial district of Antwerp, without prejudice to the mandatory statutory provisions that apply to you as a consumer — as a consumer you may always bring proceedings before the court of your place of residence.
16. Miscellaneous
If any provision of these terms is void or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force. The void provision will be replaced by a valid provision that comes as close as possible to the original intention.
These terms were drawn up in Dutch. Translations into French or English are provided for information purposes. In the event of any discrepancy between versions, the Dutch text prevails.
